How to LÖYLY

BEFORE

Booking and access

Book your preferred date and time slot - the sauna is reserved for private use. For a cozy sauna experience, we recommend at least 2 hours. You will receive the access code to the sauna by email & SMS on the day of your booking.

Functioning

Bring two towels, a swimsuit, flip-flops and drinks. The sauna is already heated up when you book. Come showered and respect the maximum number of people allowed per sauna.

Location information

Depending on the location, there are toilets, public parking spaces, and outdoor showers (cold) at the sauna. Please check the respective location page on our website for more information. LÖYLY recommends arriving by bike or public transport.

Wardrobe

The sauna pre-room is for changing and storing your belongings. You may be naked in the indoor area. In the outdoor area, we ask that you always wear a swimsuit. Failure to comply may result in the revocation of our permit.

Temperature

LÖYLY is powered by 100% renewable energy. The sauna is preheated to a standard temperature of 80°C. You can adjust the temperature individually between 70°C and 100°C. Humidity levels can be controlled by pouring water over the sauna stones. For hygiene reasons, it is mandatory to use a towel while sitting to prevent sweat from dripping onto the wood.

Infusion water

The infusion bucket can be filled using the public outdoor showers or directly with lake water. Please note that no natural items such as leaves or wood should be in it. We thank you for filling it for the next guests.

Cool down

Public cold water showers are located next to the sauna (Note: out of service at low temperatures). The lake access is just a few meters from the sauna and perfect for a cool bath. Alternatively, you can take it easy and cool off in the air before the sauna.

Clean up

Please help us keep the sauna clean. Before you leave, use the Swiffer provided to clean the floor and take all your waste with you. Lock the sauna door and make sure to leave on time.

Hygiene

Cleanliness is extremely important to us. The sauna is thoroughly cleaned every day. If you notice that the sauna or outdoor area requires additional cleaning, please let us know.

About us

The need to create an affordable and accessible place where social interaction in the sauna is welcome inspired Michael, Adrian, and Kevin to open LÖYLY in February 2023 in the city of Zurich. With LÖYLY, we create a space for encounters and promote the sense of community typical of Finnish sauna culture.
